    1. Yes, so much to celebrate. When I think about the birth of Christ, I can't help but think about the reason for His coming, and then look forward to His coming again! Blessings back!

  3. I love that your thoughts turn to the crucifixion and resurrection at Christmas. Mine do to...how can they not? This is when the clock starts ticking for our salvation!

  4. Oh friend, your verse is exactly what is on my heart this morning. Yesterday I was listening to Handel's Messiah as I worked around the house preparing for a big Christmas gathering. Suddenly, the words "the Lord has laid on Him, the iniquities of us all" stood out to me profoundly. I know these words, I've heard them hundreds of times, yet yesterday the reality that the sinless Son of God had to carry the sins of the whole world on His shoulders as He died for us impacted me in a whole new way.

  5. In reading Matthew, I was reading the parables that Jesus spoke to the disciples and really like the one about the wedding feast. Praise Jesus for his stripes and that we can be adopted in and all have his salvation. As we are on the other side of the cross, your scripture is such a great reminder of what his birth was all about. What an awesome God he is to have done that for us when sometimes it seems we are so non-deserving, but his Love is great.

    1. Soooo non-deserving! I fail Him every day, yet he still loves me and loved me enough to die for me!

  6. I love these Scriptures! I learned them as a child, but the older I become, the more meaningful and profound they become to me. Through Jesus' sacrifice, all can be well with our souls before Him.
