We made the switch in room names because the room Steve's working on now is the first room you come to when you reach the top of the stairs, so it makes sense to call it #1. #2 is at the other end of the loft.
Anyway, time to give you a peek at what Steve has been doing in Guest Room 1. (The blue tarp is covering the door.)
He's hard at work putting up the tongue & groove pine on the walls. After those are finished, he'll move up to the ceiling.
You might think we've been getting drafts from that unfinished room or that it has felt cold when we walked into it. Nope! Not with all that spray foam insulation.
It's pretty amazing stuff.
Steve occasionally apologizes for all the power tool noises emanating from the room. No problem; it's the sound of progress! Each noise means we're one step closer to a finished house!
The 2 guest rooms are exactly the same size. If you come to visit, which view would you like? Which decor do you prefer? Take your pick!
All is well in the Keweenaw.
(P.S. to Marty & Donna: Please break the news to your eldest son that this room will no longer be referred to as "Marshall's Room." He'll have to stay with you.)
