What does 102" of snow look like? Something like this:
Even on days when the sky is dark with snow clouds, it's still bright and beautiful with all these windows. I have some more thoughts on that I'll share next week.
Oh, and the crew is here working on our barn roof this week. The new trusses are in and the new sheeting (OSB) is on. It looks like it's just going to spit a few flakes here and there on us today, so they're planning to tear off the rest of the shingles today and get all the tar paper down on the entire roof. One blessing of having that huge pine tree crash down onto the barn roof is that the shingles on the barn will now match the shingles on the house! Exactly! Yay! Plus, these matching shingles are better than the shingles we had on the barn before - lifetime warranty! So, unless we have another tree hit the barn at some point, we'll never have to worry about putting a new roof on the barn - ever again! Double Yay!
I'll be back tomorrow with another winter craft project, as I didn't get all the photos edited for today. I was busy on the computer a lot this week - finishing up our church books for the year ending 2015, setting up everything for 2016 and getting all the contribution records printed and mailed out.
All is well in the Keweenaw.
