Max Highlights

We were able to spend some time with Steve's grandson, Max, when we were down in Saginaw. Steven and Beth drove up from Okemos to meet us. Beth sends us quite a few photos (including those from Max's first birthday on March 1st), but it was so special to see him in person for the first time since last May. Obviously, he has changed a lot since then. We knew he was cute, but he's even cuter in person! His little personality is delightful, and it shows immediately in his facial expressions. He kept us entertained for hours. He was on his knees. . .

and he was on foot.

Grandpa taught him how to turn that walker around when he hit a wall. He stood without holding on to anything and even took a few steps for us! That was pretty special.

He also sat down and scooched around on the floor.

He sucked his thumb (doesn't like a pacifier). . .

and he made plenty of funny faces.

But, best of all. . .

he sat on Grandpa's lap!

We even went to Bob Evan's where he was very, very good! What a blessing! I think you can tell that Grandpa is pretty crazy about him. We're both looking forward to having Steven, Beth and Max visit us in the Keweenaw at the end of May.

All is well in the Keweenaw.
