Sunday Reflections

We've had about 5 more feet of snow since I snapped this photo!

I would appreciate prayers for my upcoming dental implant surgery this week. He'll be placing the post in the area where I had the bone graft back in July. It'll also be a long day of traveling for us - to and from the dental surgeon in Marquette.

All is well in the Keweenaw.

  2. Oh, Julie! I will be praying for your surgery AND the snow. I cannot even imagine that much. We are supposed to get 1-3 on Monday night here in Tennessee and school will probably be cancelled and I am already complaining.

  4. He hears us and cares for us. I’m praying now for your trip and your surgery. If we saw snow like that here, even the Dentist office would close.

  5. Julie, we're praying for your procedure and your trip. If you don't feel like coming back home after the procedure, consider spending the night in Marquette and resting. We've done that to avoid an hour's drive on these dark mountain roads, coming home from our Dr.'s. Think about the beautiful smile you'll have when they get the new implant in!! Hugs and prayers, Bev

  6. Hi Julie, I have lifted your requests up to our Great God.

I had a tooth implant and i can honestly say it wasn't that bad. And I had it done with just novocain! I've never regretted having the implant. Annnd you'd never even know it wasn't my own tooth!

Thank you for this great Scripture reminder and the picture of the pretty country church.

    Wow! Five feet of snow!

    Blessings,

    1. Sorry everyone! I was under the weather most of the day with a migraine. You're all so kind to have prayed about my dental procedure. When I prepared the photo for this week, I wasn't thinking about my dental implant, but I edited this post last night to add that prayer request. I'm not nervous about the procedure - just hoping the recovery time is less than what I experienced with the previous bone graft. Certainly looking forward to having a new tooth placed on the post in April or May! The travel time to the surgeon's office is about 2-3/4 hours one way, so that's the biggest concern in the month of January. Looks like the weather won't be too bad at this point. Praise the Lord! It's hard to believe by looking at this photo of a local historic church that we'd had 102" of snow by the time I snapped it. We've had an ADDITIONAL 5 feet or so since then! It's gorgeous and very white up here! Thanks again to all who commented today & especially for the prayers!
