Our quiet life in the northwoods of Michigan's Keweenaw Peninsula
How much everything changes when we remember to be thankful.
Your comment was somehow lost in my spam folder. Sorry about that. Your comment is so true. Even my attitude changes when I remember to be thankful.
Julie, although I've never been to Michigan, my family has visited Lake Superior in Duluth, Minnesota. Your part of the lake is lovely, indeed! :)
Thank you for your comment, Marsha. You must come up and see us sometime. Unless you're a snow lover, I suggest July through the middle of October for the greatest beauty! Lake Superior is such a gorgeous lake. Our skies are cloudless and sapphire blue today - matching the big lake perfectly!
I always look forward to your lovely photos and scripture you share. Great capture of the sky in this one. Peace of God....much needed in these days. Peabea@Peabea Scribbles
We were blessed to see this painted sky in Houghton, Michigan, as we were headed home from Marquette recently. Yes, peace, peace, wonderful peace! It's such a blessing that we can have the peace of God in our hearts - even in the midst of a chaotic world.
Beautiful Scripture and a lovely image to go with it.
I'm always thankful for your positive comments, Kym.
You know what this made me think of? How I can never be calm/stay calm in traffic. This was perfect actually! I'm going to start praying for peace when I get behind the wheel.
Ha! If you knew what little traffic we have to contend with up here, you'd know why your comment made me chuckle! This was rush hour traffic in the Keweenaw - 2 lanes going through Houghton in the same direction - during fall tourist season. Not bad at all. Still, your comment was spot on. It's wise to pray for the peace of God in our hearts (and minds) during times we find stressful. He is certainly able to calm us down when we ask Him to do so.
