This blog is still under construction, so expect frequent posts and updated pages. As time goes by, the goal is to post on a weekly basis. The ball is in your court. If you want to stay informed on what's happening with us, you'll have to check out this blog occasionally. If you don't care what we're doing, that's fine, too.
To satisfy your curiousity: The official snow total in Houghton County as of yesterday was 130.5". That's almost 11 feet! Of course, we've had some melting, condensation and compacting, so the depth is no where near 11 feet. It's more like 2-1/2 ft. deep with drifts of 4-5 ft. The snow banks are extremely impressive, though. We'll tell you more about the snow in future posts.
It is currently 19° and snowing. We have a Lake Effect Snow Warning in effect until tomorrow at 1:00 p.m., and AccuWeather is predicting 7-14". Steve says, "Bring it on!"
I can't even imagine snow like that, but would LOVE to experience it for awhile!! Looks absolutely beautiful!! Enjoy!
