Sunday Reflections

I just noticed that I somehow overlooked the capital B that obviously should have been lower case - further proof that I will always be an imperfect perfectionist. (Keeping it real 24/7/365.)

All is well in the Keweenaw.

  1. Was glad to see your link. Thank you. Guess Google is still giving me problems though with comments. Will have to investigate further so will probably go back to Blogger because I like how the linkup works there better.

    1. I'll keep sharing no matter which linkup you use, Pat. Thanks.

  2. As I looked at the photo and Scripture above, my first thought was of the beautiful colors of fall. It has been a slow turn of color this year for us and so, the photo speaks perfectly to be slow to speak and slow to wrath. Blessings!

    1. Our colors are almost all gone now, but I'm still enjoying the photos.

  3. I love this perfectly imperfect image of Truth and of this lovely season. And images are the slipperiest things--by far the most challenging part of this blogging life. Thank you for persevering!

  4. I've always loved this verse. I'm not sure I will ever be able to do this all the time but as I mature I am able to check myself more quickly.

    1. That's our hope, right? To check ourselves more quickly?

  5. I think of this scripture often. It's one I need to remind myself of - slow to speak. I never would have noticed the "B" if you hadn't pointed it out!

  6. Maybe the BE is an emphasis that being swift to hear and slow to speak and to get angry should be part of who we are as our character becomes transformed by Christ rather than just a rule we try to follow.

    1. Yes, Elizabeth, our quick tongues and tempers obviously hinder the work of the Lord.

  7. James is full of wisdom, I wish I were slow to speak more often.

  8. How wise our Lord is. Slow to speak gives time to analyze the situation and realize that wrath edifies no one. Goes along with holding the tongue scripture. Love the photo. (hopefully have my blogger commenting problem solved for now). Have a grea week.

    1. So, so true, Pat. My husband was just mentioning someone who never seems to answer anything abruptly. He takes the time to think before he speaks, and we greatly admire that quality in him.

  9. Beautiful colors! And another reminder of how we should be trying to be more Christ-like each day.
