There's something beautiful about inclining an ear to someone. It signifies not just attention, but rapt attention, like someone scooting in to hear more! I wish I did that more with God...wanted to scoot in to hear more rather than sit down like a slightly resigned student who knows she'll get something out of it in the end. Thanks for reminding me today. Blessings on your Sunday.
A powerful scripture message. Listen to my sayings ~ really listen. Memorize what he is saying to us ~ and hide them in our hearts for use when needed. Really a scripture that I should memorize because I don't earnestly always do that with my reading. Great reminder to myself scripture as I have somewhat strayed from digging deep in his word rather than just reading and then going about my day. Love your sharing. :)
I want to encourage you to do those battlefield tours - so interesting. I have some upcoming posts on Shiloh. The inside of this church is even more humble, and I'll share photos of that, too.

ReplyDeleteI agree, Jamie. My intention is to lean into the Lord this week so I don't miss a single word!
DeleteListening is such a key concept throughout the book of Proverbs. I love both your photo and verse!
ReplyDeleteYes, listening! Thank you, Elizabeth.

Amen!
DeleteMy husband and I were just talking about Shiloh the other day. We are thinking of taking a "southern" tour of historic battle fields.
ReplyDeleteI love the simplicity of this house of Worship.
Thanks for sharing the picture along with the edifying Scripture verse.
Happy Lord's Day.
