Guilty!

Can you see it? The guilt written all over his face?

Yes, more bird feeders destroyed. I've officially lost count. (Sorry, Mr. Goldfinch.) Still not satisfied, the culprit came back and began eyeballing the hummingbird feeders.

Is he actually going after the hummingbird feeders while I'm standing here on the other side of the window looking at him and snapping photos?

Uh huh, but our hummingbird feeders were successfully saved! Note to self: You can sometimes discourage a bear from destroying hummingbird feeders by waving your hands in the air like a crazy person while you're standing safely inside your house. Second note to self: Sometimes.

Why on earth was he still looking up in that tree? He had already ripped down the bird feeders, toted off the squirrel baffle, and broken the tree branch that used to be there!

Taking down the bird feeders after dinner doesn't always prevent destruction. This one thought our dinnertime was his dinnertime, so the birds had to get by on their own again for a week or so.

In all fairness, he could be a she.

All is well in the Keweenaw.
