When we were coming down Brockway Mountain with my cousin and his girlfriend on Thursday, we had Bullwinkle run out in front of us!
Can you believe it? We knew they were here, but this is the first moose we've actually seen in the Keweenaw.
These photos aren't of the best quality, as that road is pretty bumpy.
What a fantastic experience!
By the way, Brockway Mountain is still mostly green - a tad too early for a fall color tour.

Oh how fun! I haven't see one up there yet. Big animal!! When we were with my folks heading to calumet many years back I kept saying I think we're going to see a bear today and son of a gun if a pair didn't run across the road before us a little while later! Everybody in the car was blown away. Fun times.
ReplyDeleteWe've been seeing a lot of bears on the roads this year. Had one in our backyard last month - destroyed several Hummingbird feeders and song bird feeders. It even unpotted one of my Mums - don't know what that was about! Took the feeders in for a week - hasn't been back since.
