The Delta grab bar on the left is in oil rubbed bronze - not for daily use (yet) - but it sure comes in handy when my lower back is acting up. The throne is comfort height made by Eljer - a fantastic flush with a soft-close seat and lid. Just give the lid (or seat) a little nudge and it goes down gently by itself. We highly recommend these toilets.
The vanity lights are by Kichler (Dover in Tannery Bronze) - one fixture over each mirror and sink.
We picked up the mirrors at Walmart in Houghton. They weren't expensive, but we're pleased with the clarity of the mirrors.
Many of the light fixtures in the house are these same bronze ceiling lights. We picked them up at Menards when we lived in Saginaw - more of those screamin' deals we're famous for nabbing. We may upgrade some of the ceiling fixtures as the years go by, but they serve us well for now.
The large Maax one piece shower unit is near the bathroom door to the left of the linen closet. One piece means it's very easy to keep clean - no seams for mold to grow. The shower has a seat - another one of those things that may come in handy as we age.
Steve still has a few small trim pieces to put up around the shower, but he's working outside now that the weather is so nice. I've been looking for a patterned shower curtain, but nothing has jumped out at me yet.
Moving to the the tub area. . .
I showed you the barn wood on the tub surround last Friday.
The Maax tub has air jets - soothing bubbles.
Our original plans called for a corner tub, but I decided on a rectangular tub instead. It's much easier to clean with a bad back.
We also made sure we didn't make the tub surround too wide, as we didn't want the climb out to be too difficult.
On to the vanity area:
(Yes, I was sitting on the seat in the shower when I took that last photo.) You saw the hinges on Friday. . .
and the drawer pulls.
Of course, I had to label the drawers - one deep drawer for each of us.
Steve suggested Buck & Doe for the labels, but I opted for the more conventional Mr. & Mrs. (Maybe I'll change them during deer season just to humor him.)
I love this old weathered barn wood. There's no other vanity exactly like it anywhere.
The double sink vanity top is by Imperial.
Let's step back and see some long shots to give you a better idea of the space we have in this bathroom.
No need for window coverings. There's nothing out there except trees!
