Sneak Peek Friday - After Dark

The first trip I made to the new house after dark since the exterior lighting was installed was almost 4 weeks ago now, but the photos I took that evening are the subject of today's sneak peek.

First of all, here's the LP tank.

I know you've all been looking forward to seeing that!

Here's the view of the back of the house with the bronze flood lights.

You can see inside the house. Wow, Steve has made some good progress since then.

Moving on to the front of the house, here's the front porch with the lights on.

The underside of the porch roof will be tongue and groove wood when it's finished, and we'll obviously have some real railings. Remember, the support posts will be beefed up with some cedar, too - not necessary for strength - just for looks.

That exterior work is not a top priority right now. It will wait until winter is over.

In the meantime, work on the Great Room/Loft ceiling is coming along nicely this week. It's very complicated - lots of angles. Can't wait to show you the photos!

One more thing:  Steve's baby is moving to the property today!
(Baby = 50th Anniversary Corvette! She gets to live there before I do!)

All is well in the Keweenaw.
