Another 19!

Yep, another snowstorm and another 19 inches! That puts us around 335" for the season. I'm not sure of the official total, as Keweenaw County hasn't updated the total on their website yet. It started late afternoon on Wednesday and continued for about 22 hours. What does 19" look like? I have some photos for you.

Here's the backyard on Monday. We had an inch of snow that day, but that's not included in the 19" total. Notice the depth of the snow against the fence on Monday.

Steve and Cocoa played in the snow a while on Thursday afternoon. Actually, Cocoa was playing and Steve was working. 

After using the snow blower, Steve cleaned up the edges and tackled the approach with a shovel.

Unfortunately, it's the wet, heavy stuff at this time of year, but Steve did a great job.

Even though the temperature only made it up to about 34° today, the sun was shining, so we had a lot of melting. I'll try to post some photos of that tomorrow. I just looked at the 10-day forecast, and I don't see any daytime highs below freezing. That should bring about a substantial reduction in our snow piles.

Yes, we have snow in April (and sometimes May), but we still love it here!
